Bridgestone Dashboard Design
Make complex vehicle data more understandable for non-technical users.
Bridgestone Corporation is the world's largest tire and rubber company, their fleet managers rely on various digital tools to track vehicle and tire health. However, their tire health management platform (Toolbox and Tyrata) presented usability challenges, making it difficult for users to efficiently access key tools and insights. Our redesigned the platform - FleetFix - improved navigability, streamline workflows and integrate AI-driven recommendations, ensuring a more intuitive and efficient experience for all users managing tire health and fleet performance.
As the Lead UX Designer, I was responsible for conducting user research, building IA and wireframe, designing style guide, and prototyping. For data security, I have omitted confidential information in this project. All the data in this project belongs to me

Problem Statement
Tire maintenance today is fragmented and inefficient, leaving fleets vulnerable to delays and safety risks.
Challenges include: decentralized data, lack of intuitive visualizations, and inconsistent alert mechanisms.
These inefficiencies hinder proactive maintenance, leading to increased downtime, safety risks, and operational costs.

Our Goal

User Research
"When you look at this [tool], you see some things have worked for fleets, but it was made for dealers." - Fleet Manager
Learning the current process and limitation:
Service Blueprint gives an overview of frontstage and backstage actions.
Persona / Story Board
User Journey breaks down User’s touchpoints (needs, emotions, objectives, barriers) on a detailed level.

Iterative User Testing
Multiple Steps Report
Users each want tailored information to be exported based on their needs, not all data always
All steps one view
Exportation of reports and data is customizable to fit the needs of the user.
Unclear Action Items
The checkbox design was not intuitive that user can take further action.
Distinct Calls to Action
Replaced with a “Select Response” button makes it clear of the intended action, also add shortcut to clearing a tire task
Monthly View
Weekly Inspections Calendar
Default Weekly preview provides greater day-to-day value to the fleet manager.
Indistinct Tire Status
Our lo-fi designs have little visual and contextual information. To diagnose future action, the user will need to click in to an individual vehicle.
Hover Alert Information
Colored tires + hover state that highlights the alert in question, help better understand individual issues when wanted while remain in overview.
Iterative Design of Fleet Score Summary
Users reported overall fleet health scores to be confusing and seemingly arbitrary (1 & 2)
Users confused color in the fleet health score summary with similar colors used in an adjacent graphics (1, 2, 3)
Users reported sliding bar graphic implied that all bars could be at 100% and that that was the ideal state (3)
